A GALA ART BENEFIT FOR THE
DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHIATRY AT THE
MASSACHUSETTS GENERAL HOSPITAL
MINDSCAPES is the biennial gala art auction, benefiting the Department of Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). In 2005 the first MINDSCAPES event was held to raise support for depression awareness and the research, patient care and teaching mission of the MGH Depression Clinical and Research Program. Inspired by the number of guests, the quality and quantity of donated artwork, and the financial success of the event, the hospital is now instituting MINDSCAPES on a biennial basis as the Department of Psychiatry “signature” event. The proceeds of MINDSCAPES 2007 will provide much needed support for psychiatric research, clinical initiatives and professional and public education.
Led by co-chairs Stacy Sweeney and Wendy Tulman, a committee of volunteers, and Department faculty MINDSCAPES 2007 will take place on Saturday, November 3, 2007 at the InterContinental Boston. More than 500 guests are expected to attend the gala which will feature a cocktail reception, silent art auction and elegant dinner. It will conclude with an exciting live auction of high quality works of art. Both the silent and live auctions will present 50 to 60 pieces of art in a variety of media.
